Presiding Judge Kevin C. Brazile Announces Closure of All Superior Court of Los Angeles County Courthouses

To Our Clients, Friends, and Family:

In the interest of public safety, the Presiding Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court has ordered closure of all 38 courthouses for Monday, June 1, 2020. The decision to close all of the courthouses was made in response to Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva's announcement of a countywide curfew that took effect at 6 p.m. on May 31, 2020. We will provide updates as that information becomes available.

If you need self-help services, the website for the Los Angeles Superior Court states that you can call 213-830-0845, to get assistance with Restraining Order form packets over the phone and to obtain referrals. If you have additional questions, our attorneys are also available via telephone to help. You may also obtain assistance by calling the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233.
